My approach to web design/development is to marry the two elements, forming a mutually beneficial relationship. I focus on the user experience and the delivery of information yet not without adding perfectly matched and tempered visuals. Information and structure should be solid but the page should be enticing. You want them to stay or come back, right?

Admittedly I’m way behind in posting the projects I’ve completed but here are a few to get a feel of my work. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

Wine in the Woods

Website Design/DevelopmentWine in the Woods

Event Website

Running on its 17th year, Wine in the Woods is one of the largest wine events on the East Coast. A successful event needs a website to match so we’re bringing them up to date. This is a massive site with up to 20+ pages and an active newsroom. Once again, WordPress handles the strain without a complaint.

Intuit Success

Website Design/Consultationsdfd

Website and Blog

Being a brand-new startup, Intuit Success was looking to make an impact in a market filled with mundane online presences. We pursued a design centered around bold typography backed by serene imagery and color scheme.

I suggested creating a blog to enhance their visibility and bolster their SEO. In addition I advised them on target market writing and focused tag/category creation.

Artboredom

Website Design/General Nonsenseimage

Personal Portfolio (V2) Website and Blog

When I bought this car, it came with no options. By the time I retired it, it was modded well beyond hope! I've always had the opinion that your site should be a playground of sorts; a place to experiment without worrying about scaring a client.

I wanted this minimal and white. Kept it lean with a simple header, and a 2 column content body. Always aware of its ability to breathe, I treated it more like a magazine layout than a website at times.

While the blog was running on Movable Type everything else was updated by hand; including the sidebar. Made me truly appreciate running an entire site on an efficient CMS.

Delivery: Design, XHTML, CSS, PHP, Content, Hijinx, Beating head against wall

T-Shirt Designssdfd

Nobody Else Makes Shirts With Fonts, Right?

I have a problem. I love screenprinted T-shirts. Unfortunately when I see a design I like, I think, "I could've / should've done that. Hell, I've even seen some of my unreleased designs on the market. Some of these shirts are close to others out there, but this is the way I wanted them. This is what I wanted to wear. Regardless, here's my beginning line of shirts that you can look at and say the same thing.

Finally! Almost...

Until I can both afford it, and have space for it I can't screen my own shirts. So in order to get my designs out and not be passed by the industry I'm using Spreadshirt. Their digital-direct printing isn't perfect but it gets the job done.

Artboredom

Artboredom is is the Dr. Jekyll of this little pairing, holding down a day job in design with a rabid taste for fonts of all nationalities. Thinks before he speaks and even that's measured; or at least kerned correctly. Definitely the geek of the two. Check out what he's laying down at the official Artboredom Webodega.

HOTKUNST

Although classically trained in the fine arts (otherwise known as the "art of arts"), HK has decided to use that knowledge for evil. Conceptual from the jump he preys upon the weak feeding upon their narrow-minded, uninformed fears. Using wordplay as his platform HK looks to create confusion and general feelings of social ostracization. The only time he stands still is in the HOTKUNST shop.
