Artboredom is the
portfolio + propaganda home of Chris Huller

This site is the dictionary definition of the word sandbox. Script conflicts, FAILS, and questionable behavior all leave a pleasant aroma. On good days you can see examples of previous web + graphic design projects.

Gettin' My CMYK On!

When you're staring at lines of code for days on end you need visual stimulus to keep your creative brain working at peak efficiency. Here are a few posters I've created for myself for others to see. I eventually may get some of these printed to offer them for sale.

Big Broken Hyphens

Extra-tasty Helvetica shirts available from the HOTKUNST webstore.

If you don't like Helvetica, there's a hyphen! And it's in the wrong place! Bad punctuation is so hot right now.

Swiss Font Porn

Trendhumping on multiple levels but when put together makes a fine shirt. Or at least one I want to wear.

The Webodega is open late to relieve you of your monetary denominations.

Dude. What's going on with your headers?

Artboredom is a reflection of my multi-faceted visualocity so I feel REALLY constricted whittling that down to just one, single representative image.

So I didn't. Give 'em a refresh and find out.

Tour of California on Twitscoop

Hey look, a post! Twitter is good, and cycling is good. I write about their sweet tryst below.

Fransisco Mancebo on the TwitterI’ve been fascinated by the use of Twitter and being able to witness news and event trending in real-time. There are so many examples out there every minute of every day, but this one was near to my heart. The Tour of California (a bike race) is taking place at the moment in, well, California. Stage One just finished about an hour ago as of this writing and Fransisco Mancebo took the win. I wondered if there was any Twittering regarding the race and I wasn’t disappointed. I’ve included a shot of Mancebo’s win a little after crossing the line. You can definitely see the upward trend as the stage was concluding. I can’t get enough of this!

AppLove #1: Twhirl over Twitterific

Applications for the Mac are one of the main reasons I made the switch. From their interface, functionality, and their interaction with OSX they kick the code out of the PC. But as with everything, even my favorites have room for perfection.

Since I love giving my opinion to anyone unfortunate enough to listen (or read) I’m going to review some of my favorite and most used apps on my Mac. I also want to add some suggestions that I think would make them perfect. This is the first in the series of AppLove.

Recently my Twitter battle heated up as I wanted to do more than announce that I was coding, as usual. I also have two other accounts, one of them about to kick start into overdrive (I’ll explain later). I’ve been using Twitterific (free version) for the longest time and have loved it, but it doesn’t do multiple accounts on the same screen without switching accounts. Twhirl does handle multiple accounts though. I heard good things in the Twitterverse so I’ve made the switch.

2008 Best Ever iPhone Apps Announced

Yay lists! Yay apps! Yay iPhone! Plus why I’ve gone iPhone zen and which productivity app won out, making me think I’m being productive…

I’m a sucker for lists. This is no different. 148Apps just recently released the results of their 2008 Best App Ever Awards for the iPhone. Lots of great applications on these lists, some of them I’m already using.

Unfortunately I’ve been slacking on the app front when it comes to my phone. I guess that’s a byproduct of hacking the shit out of it and stuffing everything under the sun into it. I’ve sorta gone zen with my choices now, sticking with things that truly help. By far my most used app is Things. I tried OmniFocus and while Things isn’t perfect for me, it did more things I wanted it to than OF.
